Time to move on....

I haven't been able to even think of anything witty to post since last Tuesday's election. But I came across this today on my favorite radio station's website (www.kink.fm) . I'm not a Garrison Keillor fan, but this totally made sense to me:

How to Break the Political Fever

November 3, 2004 - A true believer offers advice for life after Nov. 2—especially if your man lost.

Garrison Keillor had this observation in the latest Time magazine.

“What will reconcile us (from the election roller-coaster) is what has always restored our sanity, and that is the plain pleasures of the physical world, our common love of coffee, the world of apples, the movements of birds, the lives of dogs and the touch of skin. Music. Dancing to music…

Having worked ourselves into a fever over the future of Western civilization, we will now begin enjoying our oatmeal again, with raisins, chopped apricots and honey from bees that grazed in meadows of clover. The beauty of engagement is disengagement. You simply put on your jacket and walk out the door and find good health. There is no fever that a 10-mile hike can’t cure.”
